A corps member identified as Koyejo Funsho Isaac has constructed a public toilet for a community in Kwara state.
NAIJ.com gathered that the six-quart water closet toilets were constructed in Afon community, Asa local government of the state.
The Ibadan born corps member who was deployed to Kwara state for his one year National Youth Service decided to do something to better the community he served before the end of his service year.
In an interview with NAIJ.com, Isaac explained that he decided to share his deed with the world to encourage other corps members to do something for their community.
Isaac noted that he initially thought that only privileged people could carry out a project due to finance.
He said: “My report is to encourage all corps members who have the passion of doing something for their host community. I initially thought that the children of the wealthy men and women are the ones who did project because their parent’s will finance it for them.”
The young man who served the country with the 2015/2016 batch revealed that he received approval to carry out the project on October 26, 2015.
He expressed that he recently realised that he had to share the story with the world for the benefit of other corps members who are willing to help.
Isaac who is from Oyo state told NAIJ.com that he attended Funmlab Nursery and Primary school and Wesley College of Science in Ibadan.
He made his bachelors degree in statistics from the University of Ibadan. He also graduated from Federal Polytechnic Ede with a degree in mathematics and statistics.
“I was born in Ibadan, Oyo state. I attended Funmlab Nursery and Primary school, Loyola College and Wesley College of Science all in Ibadan. I later went to Federal Polytechnic Ede to study Mathematics and Statistics for my National Diploma. I got my B.Sc in Statistics from the University of Ibadan.”
