Sister supports union of young couple

- Young couple who got married at age 17 and 18 get support from sister

Legit.ng earlier reported how the internet was on fire over photos of wedding ceremony between young lovers aged 17 and 18. Many instantly concluded that the girl was pregnant for her man and must be why they have chosen to be together as man and wife. The groom's sister has come forward to debunk that perception.

According to the sister, Esther, their union is one found on love and not forced for some absurd reason. The sister who believes in their bond stated that she thank God for the love between the couple.

It was common in the 60s for couples to get married at such a young age but that changed with the rise of tertiary education. For that reason many see marriage at any age below 21 as too early.

With some being happy for the couple on social media, others believe the lady is pregnant. The groom's sister debunked the thought on her social media page.

In her post, Esther said: "It's really a surprise that some people do not appreciate good things....it's never a crime or an abomination to marry young...Their love story was Neva on any financial background, pregnancy or even the only son story people imagined...it was a good consent from both parents that their marriage was achieved.....so I thank the lord for their story because God has ordained it Cus if not they wud not come together... I wish them so much joy, happiness and God blessings upon them.Amen" SIC"
