A 30-year-old Russian woman identified as Maria Dapirka is facing a death penalty in Vietnam after she was arrested with hard substance in her possession.
She was reportedly caught with 3kg of hard substance by the Vietnamese customs on a flight from Singapore.
According to Dapirka, the substance was planted on her by her lover who claimed to be a top Nigerian footballer.
It was gathered that the woman met her Nigerian lover who was simply identified as Nick while she was living in Thailand.
The 30-year-old woman who had already served three years in prison was supposed to receive her sentence and verdict this Thursday, August 31, in Ho Chi Minh city.
However, her court session was postponed for further investigation. Dapirka’s session has been postponed five times already.
According to MailOnline, the lady wrote a letter to her mother Olga stating that she has accepted whatever happens to her.
She wrote: “'Don't worry about me. I am fine. I am ready for any end. 'I hope you will manage to visit me. I've not seen you for four years. I miss you so much! Please take good care of your health.”
