Autopsy reveals the true cause of the death of female undergraduate Joy Odama (photo)

- New details have emerged on the death of the 200-level student of Cross River State University

- The autopsy result revealed that the young lady died after inhaling carbon monoxide

An autopsy result has revealed the true cause of the death of Joy Odama, a 200 level student of Mass Communication at Cross River State University.

Before the autopsy was carried out, the mother of the deceased had said her daughter was killed by an Alhaji.

Jimoh Moshood, the force spokesman, said the latest report showed that Odama died after inhaling fumes of carbon monoxide. This report was done by Wilson Akhiwu, a force consultant. The report done earlier by Dr Jibrin had said the deceased died from the use of cocaine.

Alhaji Usman Adamu had been arrested after Odama’s mother accused him of killing her daughter and offering her the sum of N400,000. It was revealed that the Alhaji would be charged to court soon.

Philomena Odama had written to the IGP, senate president and speaker of the house of assembly when her daughter died. She had named Adamu as the killer of her daughter.

According to her, the Alhaji had gotten through to her daughter by offering to help her financially.
