Malia and Sasha Obama wear colourful skirts during visit to Bali temple in Indonesia (photos)

Former US President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama tagged along their daughters Malia and Sasha on their Indonesian vacation.

The former first daughters looked every inch like local residents as they donned colourful yellow sarongs. They were pictured on a visit to the Tirta Empul Temple in Bali on Tuesday, June 27.

The temple is known for its holy spring water which local Balinese Hindus use for spiritual purification.

The Obamas looked relaxed as they took a guided tour of the holy site. Local residents were enthusiastic hosts and Obama waved and smiled at them.

The family is spending 10 days in Indonesia. On Wednesday, June 28, they took a private jet from Bali to Java where Obama is due to give a speech.

Barack and Michelle have been to several holiday destinations across several continents since leaving office in January.
