The case of a 41-yer-old man identified as Adeoye Oreyomi has been reported in Ogun state after he allegedly chained his 13-year-old son’s hand and leg over N2,000 theft.
Police reported that Oreyomi who lives on Dokun street, Ewuga in Sagamu, stripped his son Demola of his clothes before making use of chains to tie his hands and legs and padlocked the chain.
Punch reports that the Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed that their neighbours feared that the teenager might die so they decided to alert the police before the case gets out of hand.
According to the Division's Officer Aduroja Moses, he revealed that Demola was found in his pool of blood and was rushed to Owokoniran Hospital, Sagamu before his father was arrested.
Moses said: “From what the police gathered, the suspect had earlier flogged the son leading to cuts all over his body. He later chained his hands and legs, and locked both ends with padlocks.”
