- Little baby Philip is now back home with his parents in Benue state
18-month-old Oryiman Philip was recently saved from a serious health condition called hydrocephalus (abnormal swelling of the head). The problem persisted just when baby Philip was three months old. His parents, Rebecca and Philip were both helpless in their home in Benue state and sought help in Abuja.
Rebecca described the condition of her son as an unknown one. Her and his father noticed the swelling three months after baby Philip was born. Not sure what it was they were told that their child wasn't human in the village where they are living in Benue state.
With no one to turn to, Rebecca prayed to God daily for her son to be saved. His case of hydrocephalus is not an uncommon case. Many children have faced the same dilemma but a surgery which can be done successfully in Nigeria can cure the condition.
NAIJ.com visited Baby Philip at the hospital where Mr Nuhu Kwajafa of Global Initiative for Peace, Love and Care gathered support to save the life of baby Philip who had lived with the condition for months.
Nuhu spoke to Maktoub publisher, Mariam Mohammed about baby Philip and she immediately paid money for the surgery to take place the same day. Mariam Mohammed parted with N200,000 which was the cost of the surgery to be performed in National Hospital, Abuja.
Mariam who instructed the surgery be done immediately truly saved Philip's life. The surgery was done successfully and baby Philip's head gradually depletes as they headed back home to Benue State.
