Every premature babies always face a harsh battle for survival. They normally spend at least three months on the neonatal unit.
It is also very expensive and that is when a premature and sick baby charity called Bliss stepped in to help Katy and her twins.
“It is vital that parents [of premature babies] are receiving psychological and financial support to help them cope while their baby is in hospital, and after they come home. Bliss has plenty of resources and information on our website to help parents who may find themselves in the same position Katy,” the NGO’s chief executive, Caroline Lee-Davey, said.
Katy’s newborns were so tiny her labour only took one minute. They have already undergone 19 blood transfusion and several surgeries. Now, after five months, she will soon be able to take Jackson and Harley back home to Northampton , UK.
