Bald people in Mozambique have been warned by police to be on the lookout after witch doctors started attacking and butchering them.
NAIJ.com has learnt that baldness is believed to be a source of wealth in the country and now witch doctors are aggressively hunting them down.
BBC reports that two men were brutally murdered and their body parts used in witch craft in the country.
One of the victims was found dead and his organs removed while the other was decapitated.
National Police spokesman Inacio Dina said: “Their motivations come from superstition and culture: The local community thinks bald individuals are rich."
NAIJ.com discovered that the witch doctors allegedly believe that the heads of bald people contain gold and that is why one of the victim's head was cut off.
It was also discovered that both of the victims were over 40 years old. Two people have been arrested in connection with the murder.
