Suspected car thief freed after he was caught red-handed (photos)

- A suspected car thief has been freed in Lagos after he was caught stealing a bus

- He was nabbed while trying to steal a bus in Computer Village

Lagos residents have freed a suspected car thief after he was allegedly caught stealing in Computer Village, Ikeja area of the state.

Legit.ng gathered that the thief was caught by a woman who owns a shop opposite where the bus was parked.

The woman immediately alerted the owner of the bus as soon as she noticed someone was trying to steal the car.

The eyewitness expressed disbelief at the audacity of the thief in trying to steal a car in broad day light.

He revealed that the car thief was caught while he was trying to start the ignition of the car.

Meanwhile, the owner of the car who was shocked, said that he had locked the bus.

He said the residents were ready to beat the thief to stupor until an officer of the law advised them to let the thief go because he does not look normal.
