How two teenagers drowned in a swimming pool in Benin (photo)

As many were in the mood to celebrate the resurrection of Christ in their homes and with loved ones, tragedy struck in Benin City when two young men drowned in a pool.

NAIJ.com gathered that this tragedy took place on Saturday, April 15, claimed the lives of two promising teenagers identified as 17-year-old Ikponmwosa Isibor and 16-year-old Emmanuel Ogbuzu, who drowned in a swimming pool in Benin.

The two teenagers were said to have paid to use the swimming pool of a play house amusement park when they drowned at about 4:00p.m last Saturday. However, the swimming pool has been put under lock and key ever since the incident took place.

When asked some of the safety measures put in place to avert such re-occurrence of the unfortunate incident, the hotel manager simply said: “The police are already handling the matter you can meet the police to tell you that.”

However, a source at Okhoro police station, Benin said some staffs of the amusement park has been picked up for interrogation.
