- A Facebook user identified as Emmanuel Onuoha has aired his thoughts on the newly sold Winners’ necklace
- The Living Faith Church members have found a new obsession with the Winners’ necklace sold
- The necklace carries the face of Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder and head pastor of the church
Emmanuel Onuoha, a Facebook user has decided to share his opinion on the extraterrestrial importance attached to religious leaders in the society.
NAIJ.com gathered that the concerned man came across a necklace worn by Winners’ chapel members recently and he could not let hold his thoughts on it. The necklace, made of a typical shoe lace holding a plastic with the face of Bishop Oyedepo, is being sold for N400 according to the wearer.
Highly disturbed by the ridiculous sale of such a material, the man brought the attention of people to the selfless attributes of Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of the Christian faith.
Onuoha said Jesus who is miraculous in nature has the power to set up the largest food industry in the world, create the largest hospital and psychiatric home ever known, have the largest fishing industry, the best wind industry ever made and still own the largest church with branches all over the world.
The numerous illustrations made were to make people understand the awesomeness of Christ and mark His simplicity as well. The poster said Jesus could be the largest manufacturer in the world yet, He gave out all He had freely just as He had received it.
This made him hit the nail on the head. The embittered Facebook user who happened to be a Christian said preachers should stop encouraging people to ‘kit up Christ on the side’ while they are comfortable wearing pastors on the outside. He sadly acknowledged the fact that the Pentecostal community is delving towards that direction already.
Perplexed by such events in the Christian world, he said “Follow your gods of men closely, the destination is already a public knowledge.”
Assured that his outburst will make the followers of the church leader and other disoriented people to come after him, he tried to make a good claim for his opinion. Onuoha substantiated his thoughts by saying it has nothing to do with the fact that he is Catholic, Anglican or white garment. He said he simply wrote down his observation based on the rules laid down by Christ.
Check out some of the reactions gathered from the post below:
Chijioke M. Nnanna, another Facebook user, said "Church has failed God because they fail to make the man in the world to become born again which kingdom program has come to perfect that man that is born again"
However, Onyebuchi Ezechukwu had a different opinion about it. He said "Why is it that people do defend a mere human being more than Christ these days? Well everybody will comment based on the capacity or level of her understanding and sensation. If you can't educate the masses through your post, you better hide the level of your ignorance than commenting rubbish here. Dear poster, am strictly behind you and your post, I will never be a part of those honoring the image of an ordinary mortal for goodness sake!!!"
2. Doing the calculation
Innocent Agharanya Ikenna made the calculation in the screenshot below. He calculated how much would be made if a thousand worshipers buy the necklace for N400.
Chijioke M. Nnanna said in the screenshot above these men of God chase mammon spirit which is money.
Vivian Nkechinyere Alex had a different opinion about it. She said "95 percent of winners family are rich and they are not beggars. So if your jealous go and open your church and lets see how you will run it. Ndi osi imi"
Maris Adaku Humphrey addressed some of the people who had dropped comments earlier. "What about those selling images? Are they true pics of Jesus Christ. Some will wear it front and back. The actor has warned people to stop worshiping him, that it was just a movie."
Meanwhile, a former driver of Bishop Oyedepo has quit the faith, the young man converted to Islam and this sparked more controversies. Watch the video below to get more of the gist:
