Following the death of Dr Allwell Orji, the doctor who took his life by jumping into the Third Mainland Bridge, there has been a list of people trying to take the trail. Luckily for us, a few deaths have been averted with the intervention of people and the police.
Another doctor identified as Olutobi Ajao reportedly tried taking his life. The Nigerian doctor ingested over 80 tablets and did his Facebook friends the honor of not stressing them by telling them what he had done. This according to him would prevent them from wondering too much about his cause of death.
The Facebook post he made saved his life as people were able to go to rescue and help him. Read the note below:
“Finally went through with it. Ingested about 80 tablets of different drugs. If and when I die, please do remember that it was oro that killed me,” he said.
The kind people he has as friends talked to him and encouraged him to hang on. They told him whatever problem he might be facing would go no matter how difficult it appears.
NAIJ.com gathered that one of his friends revealed he had been resuscitated and responding to treatment six hours after his post. Another friend of his asked people to rally round to support him with their prayers.
Ajao, knowing the gravity of what he did, changed his privacy setting on Facebook to prevent people from seeing what he had written there. NAIJ.com was able to get some reactions from some of his friends:
