The good things done by people with good hearts can never go unnoticed. A Nigerian lady has won the hearts of Nigerians with the act of kindness she exhibited when she stepped out of her car to control the traffic while it was raining.
If you are a Nigerian who lives in the country, you will understand how clumsy the roads in the major cities could be when it rains. Due to the fact that everyone would be in a rush to get home, Nigerians become impatient and just want to leave the road and be out of the rain in no time.
The city of Portharcourt experienced something quite unusual when a lady identified as Angela left the comfort of her car in order to help with the building traffic at Eliozu Junction of Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers state.
The lady got drenched in the rain as she made effort to control the traffic. With this action of hers, it is justifiable for one to say she falls among the exceptional people in this country. Not minding what would happen to her makeup or outfit; she placed the needs of others before hers and served the best way she could.
That is what service to humanity should be about. It is pathetic that the traffic warders assigned to do what she did often leave their duty posts when the weather changes. This amazing lady was did not wait for anyone to pay her a dime before contributing her own quota to the society.
Notes of thank you will trail her for a long time. Nigeria would definitely be a better nation if everyone was an ‘Angela’.
What does she deserve for this act of kindness?
