A security guard was beaten up and tied up for reportedly stealing bread from a shop where he was employed.
The security guard identified as Peter Langat Kipkirui, was caught stealing bread from a shop in the Syokimau area of Machakos County, Kenya.
Peter had been employed to guard the Gateway mall, and was reportedly notorious for terrorising the bread suppliers in the area who had been complaining about bread missing from their stalls steadily for about two years.

He was caught after the owner of the stall decided to set a trap for him, by setting up some crates of bread at some strategic places, hoping to lure the thief. As soon as peter came by to steal the crates and they saw he was the culprit, they descended on him, throwing punches and kicks, and ended up tying him to a pole.
